Meet The Hostiles...Work In Progress

Still very much a work in progress; These are the first of my Hostiles custom-ized Luchadors.

1st up is         Crimson Black

next,
Spectre Oscuro

this guy to the right is The
Death Valley
Devil

and now meet,
High Roller

These guys all need a little more touching up and they have some friends coming. I'm planning to make custom packaging and sell them individually with mini comics focusing on each character. Each figure is one of a kind/hand painted, from the awesome Mexican bagged luchas.
I can't wait to have the first batch completed. King Vulture will have special Hostiles comics coming to Stranger very soon. Hope you like them!

RIP King Vulture

We regret to inform you that King Vulture's head has exploded after hearing the news the writers of Transformers will be working on a remake of David Cronenberg's Videodrome, turning the 80's masterpiece into an action film.
We will be bringing his remains down to the lab and with any luck we'll be able to get him functioning again sometime this week. In the meantime be prepared to scrape the brain matter of loved ones' off your own ceilings when they hear this news.

King Vulture's Sound Attack

Whatever happened to Dangerous Toys? This is their video from '89. I remember them fondly and this video hasn't betrayed my memories. I think Teasin' Pleasin' was their bigger single, but this is the better song.

King Vulture's Sound Attack

So the reviews of The Amazing Spiderman are pretty encouraging. I'll miss the old cast, but we must move on brothers and sisters! Todays Sound Attack is a double shot of the Ramones! First up their cover of the Spiderman theme from the 60's cartoon series (originally found on the Saturday Morning Cartoon tribute album).
Next up is a sweet fan made vid of I Don't Wanna Go Down To The Basement!

King Vulture's Sound Attack

The Afghan Whigs' full, uncut video for Miles Is Ded!
This is probably NSFW, not because it's particularly graphic, but there are a couple of scenes you wouldn't want an overly sensitive supervisor seeing over your shoulder.
I've been a fan of the Whigs since Congregation, but really started loving them with Gentlemen. For the uninitiated, the Whigs make audio films. Greg Dulli's songs are dark and intense short stories and the albums are ALBUMS. They need to be listened to as a whole and not have songs cherry-picked off I-Tunes.
They back on tour this fall and will be in my neighborhood and King Vulture will be in attendance!
You know what? As long as we're already going NSFW, here's the uncut Honky's Ladder from Black Love.

King Vulture's Sound Attack

I have been a Misfits fan since I was 16 and I've greatly enjoyed every era of the band. I had the pleasure of catching the Jerry/Dez/Robo/Marky Ramone line up at the Middle East in Cambridge MA. Here's a sweet fan made vid I found on YouTube for the song Astro Zombies.

King Vulture's Sound Attack

Thunderkiss '65 by White Zombie. I used to jam to this album on the back roads out in Hickville where I grew up.

King Vulture's Sound Attack

The band is Plan 9, this is their video. I dig this, but I just found out the singer passed away back in September of '08. Really bums me out, I just found out about them recently. I guess there were two albums.
 Great Misfits legacy band here.
